NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE PLANNING COMMISSION
The Provo City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at 5:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers of the Provo City Center, located at 351 West Center Street. The items listed below will be discussed, and anyone interested is invited to attend and provide comment. Preceding the public hearing, a briefing will be held at 4:30 p.m. in the Community Development Conference Room, located at 330 West 100 South. The briefing is open to the public; however, formal presentation of items, public comment and actions will be reserved for the public hearing at 5:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers.

ITEM 1* Paul Evans is requesting an Ordinance Amendment to Chapter 14.17.100 of the Provo City Zoning Ordinance to remove subsection (1) that regulates maximum building height based upon setback from the street, and to modify subsection (2), related to a conditional use process to approve maximum building height allowed. ITEM 2* Provo City Public Works Department requests approval of an ordinance text amendment for chapter 15.20, Development Landscaping Requirements, to allow for water-wise landscaping options. City Wide 12-0006OA

ITEM 3* Provo City Community Development Department requests the creation of a new zone, Freeway Commercial 2, for land within the western portion of the existing Gateway Zone, generally encompassing the west Center Street area between 1100 West and the railroad tracks. City Wide Impact 12-0007OA
