ITEMS SUBMITTED FOR APPROVAL
1.   Approval of Budget Transfer #10-219 in the amount of $18,929.00 to allocate funds to cover unanticipated costs of fuels, lubricants, and increased equipment operations for Streets & Drainage through the remainder of FY09/10. This transfer is between Public Works cost centers (from Traffic Operations to Streets & Drainage), but within the same fund.

2.   Approval of Budget Amendment #10-227 and Resolution in the amount of $1,225.00 to record receipt of unanticipated funds from Target. The funds are to be used to purchase a sound system with wireless microphones, speakers, stands and storage case to be used by the Clay County Sheriff's Office COPS Unit. 3.   Approval of Budget Amendment #10-228 and Resolution in the amount of $1,000.00 to record receipt of unanticipated funds from Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Florida Sheriff's Association. The funds are to be used to for overtime salaries associated to the FSA Teen Driver Challenge Event July 23-24, 2010. Funding Source: 102-102-331200 (K. Zebraski)  
 
4.   Approval of Budget Amendment #10-229 and Resolution in the amount of $3,000.00 to record receipt of unanticipated funds from State Farm Insurance. The funds are to be used to support the Clay County Sheriff's Office Distractive Driving Awareness Campaign. Funding Source: 102-102-366000 (K. Zebraski)  
 
5.   Approval of Budget Transfer #10-239 in the amount of $26,700.00 to allocate funds for severance benefits. This transfer is between cost centers, but within the same fund.

6.   Approval of Budget Transfer #10-241 in the amount of $50,000.00 to expend program generated income, primarily from JAG Grants, to pay for overtime for Clay County Sheriff Office's Drug Task Force. Grant funds must be spent within two years of the grant closing date. Funding Source: 107-9923-599100 (K. Zebraski)  
 
7.   Approval of application of Federal Elections Activity Grant FY10/11 for funding from the Florida Department of State in the total amount of $24,672.64, of which $21,454.47 will be provided to the Supervisor of Elections Office with approval of 15% matching funds from the Board in the amount of $3,218.17. The Elections Office is requesting the use of current funds in their FY09/10 fiscal budget to provide the matching funds requirement for the grant. Additional approval is requested to transfer these funds from the operating budget to a separate interest bearing grant account, as required by the grant, which will be opened upon receipt of the $21,454.47 from the State. 8.   Approval of Affiliation Memorandum of Understanding with Keiser Career Institute to allow students from Keiser the opportunity to gain practical experience by riding in EMS vehicles and, in exchange, allow classroom instruction each year for one Clay County EMS employee at no cost. 9.   Approval of Memorandum of Agreement, and the accompanying Resolution, with the Florida Department of Transportation. FDOT is agreeing to fund and manage a project to pave the shoulders of CR 315C from CR 214/Christian Camp Road to SR 21/Blanding Boulevard.

10.   Approval of Agreement with the Department of Agriculture for a Mosquito Control Grant to cover the County’s cost for an Integrated Mosquito Control Program on a reimbursement basis. (Public Works/B. Johns)  
 
11.   Approval for Clay County Victim Services Center, Inc. to move into and rent vacant building at 2463 SR 16 W, Green Cove Springs, FL. This would save the County the lease obligation of $47,244.24 per year. (F. Behring)  
 
12.   Approval of Budget Transfer #10-243 in the amount of $1,850.00 to allocate funds for unanticipated QTI grant payments due for 2008 and 2009 tax years. This transfer is out of contingency, within the same fund. Funding Source: 001-9900-599100 (K. Zebraski)
