October 4, 2010 |
1. | Approval of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Storm Water and Drainage Improvements
2. | Discussion Regarding Proposed Policy Relating to the Expansion of Nonconforming/Noncompliant Structures
If approved by the Board, the proposed policy would allow the expansion of a single family or mobile home for the purpose of accommodating individuals covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act when the single family or mobile home is nonconforming or noncompliant.
3. | Discussion Regarding Changes to Article IV, Concurrency, Relating to Capacity Reservation Timeframes
At the August Planning Commission meeting, a PowerPoint presentation was provided regarding the basics of concurrency and capacity reservation. As a part of the presentation, information was included about the capacity reservation policies of neighboring jurisdictions. Based upon that survey, staff drafted the attached ordinance. While each of the proposed concurrency capacity reservation timeframes has been increased, they are consistent with those of the neighboring jurisdictions. The increased timeframes for concurrency reservation will affect the competitive nature of capacity reservation between developers, but achieving a greater consistency with neighboring jurisdictions’ systems will benefit all developers. Regarding the County’s concurrency management system, the increased capacity reservation timeframes will have no negative impacts on the monitoring of transportation impacts and requisite improvements.
4. | Approval of architect's proposal for the remodeling of the courthouse
5. | Clifford Road MSBU Update
Staff submitted a ballot for the residents giving two options of construction. One was for the upgrade of a twenty foot wide roadway down the entire length of Clifford Road. The other was a twenty foot roadway from the beginning at Thunder Road and then reduce the width down to sixteen feet wide where the existing roadway gets narrow. The results of the vote were 12-3 in favor of the full twenty foot wide roadway. Staff is requesting the Commissions direction to proceed with preparing the Design/Build RFP for Clifford Road. |
