Lieutenant Governor Mitch Landrieu will make the official announcement Wednesday that he will run for mayor of New Orleans. Landrieu, the son of former New Orleans mayor Moon Landrieu, confirmed his intentions Tuesday after weeks of speculation, saying he wants to follow in his father's footsteps.
