The Baton Rouge Police Department is mourning the loss of one of its own after an officer died in a crash in north Baton Rouge last night. Investigators say 33-year-old Mark Beck was driving north on Scenic Highway when he crashed into the back of a tractor trailer stopped at a railroad crossing. Beck worked in the K-9 unit. His dog, Xander, was in the car and survived.
