Attorney: Allegations against Anderson unfounded
The long-awaited action from the Attorney General's Office on whether John Breaux is eligible to run for governor turned out to be no action at all. In part of an eight page statement, State Attorney General Charles Foti said, "Due to restrictions imposed by law ... as well as this office's policies and historical practice, I must refrain from rendering an opinion ... on whether Mr. Breaux meets the qualifications to become a candidate."
