Former U.S. Sen. John Breaux will not run for governor, he announced Friday evening through a statement issued by the Louisiana Democratic Party. The lack of a decision by State Attorney General Charles Foti appears to be the deciding factor. Foti refused earlier in the day to say Breaux was an eligible candidate.
