The long-talked-about Central Thruway took a giant step Wednesday toward becoming a reality. The thruway will connect Sullivan Road in Central to Florida Boulevard and Interstate 12 and is the largest single public works project in East Baton Rouge Parish. It's still two years from completion, but residents in Central are ready and waiting.
