Our River Watch continues as concerns emerge over levee erosion. The Pontchartrain Levee District is checking levees to see how they've fared as the Mississippi River starts to recede. Inspectors are looking to prevent sluffing, which is when receding water erodes the dirt that's backed tightly along the backside of the levee.
