A nationwide shortage of paramedics and emergency medical technicians is being felt in the Baton Rouge area. EMS is short 20 paramedics and Acadian Ambulance is looking to fill 20 spots as well. Current crews are feeling the crunch as the shortage is forcing medics to work additional overtime.
