There will soon be some new construction at a familiar spot along Perkins Road in Baton Rouge. The Perkins Road Hardware Store was damaged by fire a year and a half ago, but nothing was done to the 55-year-old building for more than six months. Construction is set to begin in just a few weeks, but it won't necessarily be out with the old.
