As high fuel costs drive up energy bills, the Louisiana Public Service Commission may look at giving some people relief. The Louisiana Emergency Relief Act of 2001 would give senior citizens or people on fixed incomes a break in their bills. If the PSC declares an energy emergency, only those people enrolled in deferred billing programs would benefit.
