The Gonzales City Council on Monday debated whether or not to prohibit city residents from owning certain breeds of dogs, particularly pit bulls and rottweilers. The request to ban the animals came from a Gonzales mother whose 30-year-old son was bitten by a pit bull. Many residents came out in force to voice their opinions on the proposed ban.
