Help is on the way to protect boaters in Livingston Parish from what locals call "the rocks" -- a small submerged mountain built to hold and divert water from the Amite River into a canal. Such a structure can be a hidden danger for boats passing through the channel. While there are a few warning signs in place, parish officials say they hope more can be done before a serious accident happens.
