One of the biggest headlines of the high school offseason was former Redemptorist head coach Sid Edwards leaving New Orleans and coming back to Baton Rouge to take over the Central Wildcats head coaching job. The new independent school district reeled in a proven winner in Edwards, hoping to turn around the program that is the pride of north Baton Rouge.
